“Reveal the unsuspected life of soils”

To celebrate Nature Day, join us on 20 May at Gigaro Beach for an exceptional day dedicated to discovering the fascinating world… beneath our feet!

Invisible but essential, soil is a living ecosystem. Ants, earthworms, fungi, microorganisms and insects play a fundamental role in maintaining the balance of nature. This day invites you to explore the unexpected richness of soil and gain a better understanding of the close links between fauna, flora and biodiversity.

Why is soil so valuable? How does it contribute to plant growth? What role do insects play in the fertility and balance of ecosystems? These are just some of the questions that will be answered during this fun and friendly day.

Whether you are curious, passionate about nature or simply looking for an enriching family outing, come and celebrate biodiversity and learn how to protect this essential natural heritage.

“The Mediterranean, a treasure to be protected”

On July 10h 2026, Plage de Gigaro will host a day entirely dedicated to discovering and protecting our Mediterranean Sea. Fragile, rich and fascinating, it is an exceptional natural heritage that must be preserved.

The Mediterranean is home to remarkable biodiversity: fish, seagrass beds, corals, marine mammals and micro-organisms coexist in a delicate balance. However, pollution, climate change and human pressures threaten this unique ecosystem.

This day will be an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the issues facing the Mediterranean, discover the initiatives put in place to preserve its riches, and learn simple actions that everyone can take on a daily basis.

With family, friends or simply out of curiosity, come and share a convivial and engaging moment in the heart of an exceptional natural site.

“Understanding and protecting coral reefs”

On October 20th 2026, Plage du Débarquement will host a special day dedicated to marine biodiversity and the protection of coral reefs. True underwater treasures, coral reefs are among the richest and most fragile ecosystems on the planet.

As refuges for a multitude of marine species, reefs play an essential role in the balance of the oceans: they protect coastlines, support fishing and contribute to the beauty and attractiveness of our coastlines. However, climate change, pollution and human activities are now putting them at risk.

This enjoyable and educational day will provide a better understanding of how coral reefs work, explore the richness of local marine biodiversity and discover practical solutions for preserving these precious ecosystems.

With family, friends or fellow enthusiasts, come celebrate biodiversity and learn how everyone can contribute to protecting our seas.
