Our tips for getting around easily and enjoying a stress-free stay!
From March to October, our village welcomes visitors and holiday home owners who come to enjoy our beautiful region. Traffic increases and parking can become more of a problem. To make getting around easier and help you make the most of your stay, the Tourist Office has a few tips for you!
TIP #1. Sunday, market day
If you decide to come and have a stroll around the Sunday market, we recommend that you park outside the village centre (at the school car park, the market car park, the gendarmerie car park, etc.) and then walk to the Place des Palmiers.
TIP #2: Visit in spring and autumn
As any local will tell you, La Croix Valmer reserves its most beautiful sunsets, its most lovely walks and its gentle atmosphere for visitors who choose to explore it ‘out of season’… This means you’ll be able to explore the Cap Lardier area along the coastal path without encountering many other walkers, gaze out at the horizon and feel as though the world belongs to you, enjoy a picnic on a deserted beach, experience milder temperatures and a reduced risk of wildfires…
TIP #3: Take the summer shuttle bus
From early June to late September, the free summer shuttle bus will allow you to reach the beaches easily without having to worry about parking. The Pysae app shows you the shuttle timetables and locations in real time. You can also make use of the night-time shuttles, which run (according to a specific timetable) on evenings when the local council organises events or invites you to spend your evening by the sea.
TIP #4: Parking with Paybyphone
To make parking easier, the Paybyphone app lets you pay directly from your smartphone and extend your parking time without having to return to your car.
