Meeting Virginie – A life between land and sea\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For more than twenty years, Virginie has embodied the spirit of Port-Cros National Park. Passionate about nature and deeply attached to the Mediterranean and to passing on knowledge, she works every day to help people discover, understand, and love this exceptional natural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

What motivates me is the diversity of audiences, the exchanges, and this shared desire to do the right thing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

A trained interpreter guide, Virginie has found the perfect balance between education, protection, and emotion within the National Park. Through her work, she manages the PNPC’s visitor centers, coordinates awareness-raising events, and supports municipalities in the membership area, such as La Croix Valmer, in their development and preservation projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 21, Virginie will be attending Sea Day: a major event (free and open to all) aimed at showcasing the riches of the marine environment and raising awareness among young and old alike of the fragile beauty of the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u00a0Raising awareness means first and foremost inspiring wonder. There is no need for lengthy scientific explanations: we must inspire desire, stir emotions, and empower everyone to play an active role in conservation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

At the heart of this preservation effort is a plant: Posidonia, the true lung of the Mediterranean, essential to the balance of the seabed and the protection of beaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Posidonia is present, it means that the sea is healthy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

For her, La Croix Valmer is a gateway to the coastline, a link between land and sea, between biodiversity and humanity. It is a region that shares the same values as the National Park: respect, transmission, and preservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
